ASIA is a professional organization of independent accountants in private practice. Established in 1972, ASIA is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of excellence in our profession. ASIA is affiliated with the National Society of Accountants.

Local chapters hold periodic meetings, many of which feature guest speakers. A wide range of topics and issues are discussed. An integral part of each meeting is devoted to an informal round-table discussion, allowing for an exchange of information vital to professional growth. One hour of CPE credit generally is given for attending these educational meetings.

Objective and Goals for ASIA:
1) Unite and promote cordial relations among accountants
2) Collect through research and disseminate by appropriate means, fundamentally sound accounting theories and practice methods
3) Develop, improve and extend the standards and practices of independent accountants in Alaska and in any locality where similar groups meet.
